PRESS RELEASE
March 27, 2020 – Kuujjuaq , Nunavik – The suspension of the Nunavik Volunteer Income Tax Program has been extended to April 6th. This extension will allow us to get the necessary protective gear to our tax agents in each community. Considering the high global demand for items like masks, latex gloves and hand sanitizer, we are trying our best to get these items to communities, to ensure both our tax agents and clients remain as safe as possible.
Both Revenue Quebec and the Canada Revenue Agency have extended the deadline to produce and file personal income taxes to June 1, 2020.
Our physical offices remain closed at this time. If you would like to get in contact with us, please do so by visiting www.Makivvik.org/contact
