This is to inform the public that the Call for Nominations is open for the position of Inuit
Community Representatives of Makivvik, for the following communities:
- Kangiqsualujjuaq
- Kuujjuaq
- Akulivik
- Puvinituq
- Kuujjuaraapik
Elections will take place in the communities mentioned above from 10 A.M. to 6 P.M
on the following dates:
Advanced polls: Thursday, March 28, 2024
Election Day: Thursday, April 4th, 2024
*Runoff Election: Thursday, April 11th, 2024
Eligible voters will have the opportunity to vote in person of online.
*In the event that no candidate is able to obtain a majority (50%+1) of the votes in a given
community, a Runoff election between the two (2) candidates earning the most votes will be held
in the concerned community.
The deadline to send the completed nomination forms is Thursday, March 7th, 2024 before 5:00P.M.
