Today, Makivvik held elections for the community directors in the (2) communities of Aupaluk and Salluit.
Candidates in Quaqtaq, Inukjuak, and Chisasibi were acclaimed as representatives.
The results are as follows.
Aupaluk
Eligible Voters: 144
No. of Turnout: 78 (54%)
Results
Maggie Akpahtak: 46 (59%)
David Angutinguak: 32 (41%)
SPOILED: 0
Maggie Akpahatak has been elected as Community Director of Makivvik for the community of Aupaluk with the majority vote.

Eligible Voters: 1054
No. of Turnout: 205 (19%)
Results:
Adamie Alaku: 145 (71%)
Michael Cameron: 50 (24%)
SPOILED: 10 (5%)
Adamie Alaku has been elected as Community Director of Makivvik for the community of Salluit with the majority vote.
