Montreal,Quebec January 15 2009 – Canadian Royalties and the Makivvik are pleased to announce the distribution of over $200 000.00 worth of food were donated to the Nunavik communities over this past Holiday season.
In light of a temporary work stoppage at the Nunavik mining project, the winter food stocks from all the company’s sites were rounded up and distributed to the communities. “Charitable works have always been part of the company’s values”, says company President Glenn J. Mullan, “We are very pleased to have been able to share this food with one of the project’s most important partners”.
Air Inuit Ltd , one of Makivvik’s subsidiaries, assisted in the distribution who provided the planes required to transport the food from the Canadian Royalties property to the Communities and made it in time for the Christmas Holidays.
